1) WHEN SHALL I SIGN THE RENTAL CONTRACT?
The student decides how he would like to sign the rental contract. The first option is that we send you a copy of the contract via email or fax, which is to be signed when the deposit and the rental fee of the first month is paid, at confirm of the reservation.
The other option is that the student could sign it directly at our office if he hasn’t signed online; also in this case deposit and rental fee of the first month must be paid. After that the student could immediately rent the flat, because we are the owner.
In case you have any question affecting the sent contract you are welcome to ask us. You can ask for changes in the contract, which will be resent after the confirmation of that.
Don’t forget that without signing the rental contract you can’t move in.
2) HOW MUCH IS THE DEPOSIT?
For each room and for each Budapest district the amount of the deposit is 150 Euro.
The deposit must be added to the rental fee of the first month before booking the apartment and moving in.
3) WHEN THE CONTRACT EXPIRES, WILL I GET THE WHOLE DEPOSIT BACK?
If the accommodation did not suffer any damage, you will get immediately the whole deposit back.
Every contract includes the damages which cause reduction.
4) WHAT SERVICES ARE INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL CONTRACT?
Every contract states the services included in the rental fee. Generally the rental price is to be consider “WARM”, inclusive of internet service, gas , water , electricity and building taxes.
5) WHAT CONSEQUENCES WILL IT BRING IF I CAN’T PAY THE RENT?
The way and time of paying the rental if is included in every contract. In case of negligence we will act as stated in the local law. If any special reason causing you the delay, please contact us, and will try to work out an agreement.
6) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE SYSTEM TO PROCESS MY APPLICATION?
We process every application in a maximum one week. During this time, Budapest Flat For You Staff will be in touch with you to give you all the information you need.
7) WHAT CAN I DO IF I’M NOT SATISFIED WITH THE ROOM I BOOKED?
Budapest Flat for You provide you with as much information about the accommodation as possible. The best way is to visit yourself the flat before the Erasmus period; on the other side the you can check up-to-date photos of the apartments ( we will send you via email ).
Even so, you may not be satisfied with the booked accommodation, our Staff provides you the possibility for changes to other available accommodations. If the offered one still doesn’t meet your requests, your booking is cancelled. This means no money refund. In case Budapest Flat For You can’t offer you another accommodation, you can cancel your reservation without financial consequence and get your money back.
8) HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE SYSTEM TO PROCESS MY BANK TRANSFER?
The deposit and any other registration fees can be paid with bank transfer. How much times it takes, depends on the connection between the banks. We advise you to ask information in your bank about the transfer conditions. It is important that until your money hasn’t arrived, your reservation isn’t valid. If your bank needs more than 7 days to transfer your money we ask you to inform us and confirm somehow your transfer. The transfer fees should be paid by you and can not be charged to Budapest Flat For You.
9) WHAT SHALL I DO IF I WANT TO MOVE TO ANOTHER PLACE
BEFORE THE CONTRACT EXPIRES?
If you want to move before your contract expires you will loose your deposit, unless you can arrange something different with us. The notice to quit should be at least 15 days before you, but you have to pay the whole month. Our Staff will try to find you another flat but we can not guarantee success. If you wish to change flat with another Budapest Flat For You student you will not loose your deposit.
10) CAN I EXTEND THE ROOM RENTAL CONTRACT?
Theoretically you have the possibility to extend your contract. It depends if your room has already rented for the next semester or not. It is very important to inform us on time so we will know that you want to stay in your flat.
11) WHAT IS THE QUALITY/CONDITION OF THE ACCOMODATION
THAT BUDAPEST FLAT FORYOU ENSURES?
